In recognition of Ron Evans' love of jazz, his desire to encourage talent, and his contribution to Generations in Jazz. Presented by the Evans Family.
The "James Morrison Jazz Scholarship" is open to solo instrumentalists to further the jazz career of the successful entrant. The winner will receive $10,000 to assist in the development of their career.
Applications are initially by audition CD or tape (no mini discs). Tapes and CDs are non returnable.
Adjudicators for the 2012 scholarship will be
James Morrison, Daryl Somers and Gordon Goodwin.
Six finalists will be selected and must be available to attend final adjudication in Mount Gambier during the Generations in Jazz weekend 4th-6th May, 2012.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be between 15-19 years as at 1st January 2012 and an Australian Citizen.
Labelled CD or Tape (no mini discs) containing applicant's performance of:

Ballad (own choice) maximum five minutes each

Recent photograph - passport size with name on back
