2025 COMPOSITION COMPETITION

Generations in Jazz Festival (GIJ) is supporting emerging Australian jazz composers by launching a composition competition for newly created big band works. 
 
Composers are invited to compose big band works for intermediate and junior levels big bands.

The winning composers will each receive $2000 in prize money. 

​Closes 31st July 2024

In the event that the judges deem that no submission has reached the required standard, the prize will be retained for a future competition.
