BAND DIRECTOR’S AWARD
In recognition of outstanding leadership and inspiration in the field of jazz education. One band director will be selected by the Generations in Jazz adjudicators throughout the festival to receive this award. The winner of the Band Director’s award will be given the unforgettable experience of hosting a James Morrison clinic at their school. James will personally conduct a master-class and workshop with music students making for a priceless and memorable event. Proudly supported by James Morrison Academy of Music and Wenger.
SCHAGERL GOLDEN MOUTHPIECE AWARD
Awarded by James Morrison to the most outstanding lead trumpet player at Generations in Jazz 2017. The winner will receive a James Morrison gold plated Schagerl Apredato mouthpiece valued at $550. Proudly supported by Schagerl.
PBONE TROMBONE SECTION AWARD – DIV 3 SBA
Celebrating the release of the new pBuzz. The pBone award will be presented to the most outstanding trombone section of Division 3. The winning trombone section will receive 4 pBones in any colour for their school, valued at $1316. Proudly sponsored by pBone.

THE ALEXANDER GREGORY AWARD
$2000 will be awarded to the most promising pianist competing at GIJ 2017 in the SBA Div One, and $1500 to the most promising pianist competing in Division Two. The recipients of this award will be selected by the adjudicators in the relevant Division. Generously sponsored by Tom Gregory.
