GIJ Vocal Scholarship

Scholarship Applications open on Sunday 1 January 2020 and close on Sunday 15 March 2020.

The Generations In Jazz Vocal Scholarship is to further the career of the successful jazz vocalist.

The winner will receive $10,000 to assist in the development of their career. This award is proudly sponsored by The Border Watch Newspaper.

Six finalists will be selected and must be available to attend final adjudication in Mount Gambier during the Generations In Jazz Festival.

Applicants residing in Australia will be flown from their closest capital city to Mount Gambier and return.

International applicants will be responsible for their arrival and departure from Melbourne Australia, with domestic return flights from Melbourne Airport to Mount Gambier provided.

Finalists under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  The travel expense for the parent/guardian is their responsibility.

Hosted accommodation will be provided.  If the personal choice is to arrange alternative accommodation, this will be at your own expense.

Application requirements

Applicants must not be older than 21 years of age as at 1 January 2019.
