Jazz has no boundaries and in 2018 Generations in Jazz together with the Uni SA are establishing the University of South Australia International Travel Scholarship. Open to solo instrumentalists under the age of 19 from outside of Australia this scholarship gives us the opportunity share Generations with the world and in return we get to hear from some amazing up coming jazz musicians from overseas.
The successful recipient of the scholarship will receive a travel grant to cover international flights and travel costs to attend the Generations in Jazz Festival.
The winner of the University of South Australia International Travel Scholarship will also secure themselves a position as a finalist in the James Morrison Scholarship and must be available to attend final adjudication in Mount Gambier during the Generations in Jazz Festival arriving in Mount Gambier, South Australia on Wednesday 2 to Monday 7 May 2018. Following the adjudication at two public concerts a winner will be selected from the seven finalist and the winner of the James Morrison Scholarship will receive $10,000 to assist in the development of their career.
Note: Australian Citizen and Australian Permanent Residents are ineligible to apply however can apply for the James Morrison Scholarship or GIJ Vocal Scholarship.

Applicants must be not older than 19 years as at 1st January 2018.
